Product Review- Dr. Scholl's® For Her Cozy Cushions

Hello, my lovelies! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season!

As the weather turns cooler (and freezing for some of you!), I thought it was an appropriate time to tell you my secret of having warm feet even on the coldest of days...

I receive a pair of these from Influenster for testing purposes, and although the weather here is still in the "up and down" stages, I have worn my boots with the inserts enough to give the inserts a full review.

These fuzzy inserts can be cut to fit your boots, using the size guidelines on the reverse side, and are designed to be fitted to shoe sizes 6-10.  I have huge feet (size 11!), so I didn't have to trim mine, and they fit in my boots very nicely.

I tried these in some boots that are generally a bit tight for me (I have big, wide feet), and they made the boots unwearable- they were so tight on the tops of my feet, that I had to immediately remove them.  I tried them in boots that were looser on my feet (UGG style boots), and they were absolutely magical.

My boots kept my feet warm and toasty on a very cold night.  I'm not kidding you- the rest of me was icy cold, but my feet were amazingly warm! 

Not only are these inserts wonderfully warm, they are very comfortable too.  I can stand for hours with these in my boots and my feet felt just fine. Keep in mind, that this is coming from someone with slight heel spurs- my feet ALWAYS hurt the day after a stand/walk-a-thon, and with these inserts, I didn't hurt.  At All.

Are the Cozy Cushions inserts for you?  Well, if your boots aren't generally tight on your feet, and you are prone to cold feet, then YES.  If you tend to wear tighter fitting boots, then skip this product, as it will make your boots much less wearable.

At any rate- I totally plan to use these during Cookie Booth Season in March- it's SO SO cold being outside at a booth, stationery for hours and hours- these will make me MUCH more comfortable!

If you want to pick up a pair of these for your very own, they are available at Target, currently for $9.  I think that they are definitely worth the investment to make your favorite boots more comfortable!

Dr. Scholl's Active Series First Impressions- Influenster Active Series VoxBox

I received a new package from Influenster, and I can't wait to share it with you!

Ok, onwards and upwards.

Usually my VoxBoxes are, well, boxes.  This time, it's a padded envelope.

The package I received is called the Active Series VoxBox, and in it were Dr. Scholl's Active Series Insoles.

The packaging is very cute, and pink.  Perfect for October and Breast Cancer Awareness!

These insoles claim to protect your feet in mutliple areas: ball of the foot, arch and heel.  All the sciencey sounding stuff is on the back of the package.

These are super pink, and very squishy.  

I received these insoles in the size 8 1/2-11 which is a good thing- I have BIG feet!  I took these out of the package and checked them out.  The backs of the insoles have guidelines to trim them down to size, but the package says to use the current insole in your shoe as a guide.  So that's what I did.

I was amazed at how dirty my shoes were, under the insoles.  It's quite gross, actually.

Here is my old sneaker, with the insole removed.

My exact reaction: "Meh- close enough."

I put the old insole on top of the new insole, and it lined up pretty good.  Or at least so I thought.  More on this in a bit.

I put the new insoles inside my shoes, and they looked pretty snazzy- how crazy is it that they would match?

I figured that I was good to go!  I slipped my sneakers on (I rarely wear them), and did some housework.  And oh. my gosh.  The arches on the insoles did NOT match the arches on my feet and it was HORRIBLE!

I removed the insoles and re-lined up the OLD ones on top of the new ones, and this time, I matched the arches up.  HOLY COW- these didn't match up AT AL!

I trimmed the insoles down to match the old insoles, and then put them back in the shoes.  This time, they felt MUCH better.

The moral of this store is, don't throw away your insoles before you try out the new ones.  That, and the package directions aren't always wrong.  

That being said, the insoles felt nice on my feet and very supportive, once I had them adjusted properly to fit my feet.  My sneakers are really old, and these honestly made them feel like new again.  I'll be testing these out, off and on, for the next couple weeks, and hopefully they will still feel as nice.

If you are interested in getting a pair of these insoles for your very own, they are available at WalMart, and for some reason, vary in price from $18.15 to $19.97.  I'm assuming that the variance is due to the size of the insole?  The link just goes to my search at Walmart.com.  I'm sure other stores carry them too- but most people have a Walmart.
