#Spring4Wine with Club W

Hi everyone!  I'm back...for the time being.  It's been crazy- I've gone back to work, Tiny Love is taking ballet, and things are so busy!

Since we last spoke, I received the awesome Bella Vox Box from Influenster (more on that soon to come).  Not familiar with Influenster?  It's a product review site that occasionally sends products to members to test and review.  You can also look up product review for pretty much anything under the sun!

In my Bella Vox Box was a coupon for a free bottle of wine from Club W.  Now, you might be thinking, ALRIGHT! Honestly, I was too.  Then I got to the fine print.  In order to get the free bottle of wine, you have to subscribe to the monthly service and purchase 2 bottles.
Which is just fine, unless you are married to a recovering alcoholic, like me.  We don't keep alcohol in the house.
Don't get me wrong- I LOVE me some white zin, moscato, and lots of other light wines, I just don't drink them at my house, or when I'm out with my husband, out of respect for him.
So, I passed my coupon on to another friend to enjoy.

I also took a moment to log onto Club W's website and try it out to see how easy it is to use.  After clicking "get started", I answered several questions about my general preferences, like do I like salt, berries, earthy flavors, things like that.  I was then able to view my preferences after creating a log in using facebook, google plus or just plain set one up myself.
I will say, my choices do match what I would usually prefer to try, and it was very easy.  The wines are very reasonably priced, at just $13 a bottle.

I did run across a couple of problems, though:
First, a signature is required.  It's hard to catch me, and where I live, it's hard to predict a delivery time.
"An adult must sign for all wine deliveries.  We strongly suggest using a shipping address where someone over the age of 21 is available during the day to receive and sign for packages, such as an office or other workplace."
Second, Club W can't ship to Delaware.  That's a problem for me, since I, you know, live in Delaware.
"We are not able to ship wine to the following states: AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, KY, MS, OK, PA, RI, SD and UT. We are unable to ship to PO Box addresses."

So, all in all, if you are in a state that Club W can ship to, and love wine, feel free to try it out!

Do YOU want to try out Club W?  Here's a link to their site: https://clubw.com/
You can use the code REFERME to get a free bottle of wine when you buy two!

Until next time, my lovelies- stay Average!

Influenster Vox Box- Reese's Spreads Unboxing and Review

Hello, my lovelies!
I promised I wouldn’t be gone for very long this time, and see?  I’m back!

I very recently received a package in the mail from Influenster.  Remember Influenster?  It’s a product review site that sometimes sends fun things to it’s members to try out and review, at no cost.   They are called VoxBoxes, and it’s always great to be chosen and receive one.  If you aren’t a member yet, and would like to be, just let me know, and I’ll get you a link to sign up!

Ok, on to the goodies!
That is one ORANGE box!

Once I cracked the lid, I was very excited to see a full sized jar (13 oz/368 g) of Reese’s Spreads, peanut butter chocolate.

Reeses Spreads, peanut butter chocolate, 13 oz, retails around $3.38 per jar, and is available at Walmart HERE.

The insert card is super cute, too, it’s got some suggestions for use on the back.

Insert Card

Once I cracked open the jar, I could smell the distinct scent of peanut butter cups, wafting up at me.

Yeah, the picture is post taste.  Sorry.  We couldn’t wait.

I swiped the top with a knife and took a taste.  Oh. My. Lord. In. Heaven.  This spread is AMAZING.  It tastes like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.  Only better, because you can put it on ANYTHING!

We tried it on Nilla Wafers (think sandwich cookies!), apples, strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, toast, and even in a milkshake (God bless the Ninja inventor!).  I quickly learned something- if I put Reese’s Spreads on something, my picky eater kids will eat it.  I have yet to find something that Reese’s Spreads DOESN’T make taste good!  It’s like Nutella, but with peanut butter and chocolate, not just chocolate.

Here’s a quick pic of what we tried it on.  I had to recreate it because the kids kept picking at it while I was making it!

Reese’s Spreads is definitely a win for me.  Of course we can’t indulge every day, but this little orange lidded jar has earned a place in my snack cupboard- the best fix for a bad day that I can think of right now.  The price is very reasonable and it’s just SO good!

So, tell me, my friends- have YOU tried Reese’s Spreads?  What do you pair it with?  Until next time, my lovelies- stay Average!

Influenster Go Vox Box- First Impressions

Hello, my lovelies!  I received an awesome box in the mail, and can't wait to share it with you all- it's the Influenster Go Vox Box!

Not familiar with Influenster?  Influenster is a product review site, where members can ask questions or review pretty much any product or service out there!  Influenster also works with brands and sends out products in VoxBoxes, for testing purposes to members, based on the member's survey answers and ranking, and a little random luck.  If you are interested in joining Influenster, you can go HERE and sign up. Membership is free, and so are the VoxBoxes of testing products, should you be lucky enough to score one!

The box

Influenster sent me this nice, big box, full of awesome goodies!

First Peek

I love the first look in the box, and wanted to share it with you!  I see some pretty amazing things to test out!

Insert Card

I love how we get an insert card with each VoxBox- it's a fun introduction to the theme :)  The back of the card lists the products included in the Go VoxBox, and their suggested retail prices, along with Twitter and Facebook information for them.  Love it- everything is right at hand!

PROFOOT Triad Orthotic Shoe inserts, for knee, leg or back pain, size women’s 6-10, retails for $10.99, available HERE (Walgreens).

I've really gotten my use out of all of the shoe inserts that Influenster has sent me in the past, and I can't wait to put the PROFOOT Triad through the wringer, as well!  I do suffer from back and knee pain, and I'm hopeful that they will feel awesome and maybe help my poor back feel better.

I tried these out really quick (in some old flip flops), and instantly was surprised at how much better I felt, just after a few steps.  I'll keep you posted on a full test, though, but first impressions are- amazing!  I love how these are 3/4 length- my feet are pretty big and my toes are long- not all inserts feel great on my toes- they take up necessary room :)

PROFOOT Pedi-Rock (coolest. thing. ever.), retails for $7.99 (currently on sale for $4.39), available HERE (Walgreens).
My guilty pleasure is a pedicure, but I can't always afford to go to the salon to get one.  I tend to do them at home (I even have a foot bath of my very own!), and this pumice stone is an amazing addition to my routine!  Seriously, the Pedi-Rock is a game changer- it's squishy (in a good way) and can conform to whatever contour of your foot that you need it to- and washes up easily with water.

The PROFOOT Pedi-Rock

I tried this out and was absolutely amazed at how soft my feet were after just a few minutes of rubbing them with the Pedi-Rock- they were absolute perfection!  I definitely suggest this to anyone who does at home pedicures- and you just can't beat that sale price!

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Lightly Scented Tampons with odor shield, 16 count, retails for $5.29, available HERE (Walgreens).

Playtex is a brand of feminine products that I trust and use, but my personal favorite is Tampax Pearl.  I haven't had the "opportunity" to test these out yet, but I am sure they work much like other applicator tampons. These tampons have a plastic applicator, are lightly scented and have something called "odor shield" technology.  The box I received is Regular absorbancy.

Blue Diamond Almonds, Blueberry Oven Roasted Almonds, snack size (1.5 oz/43g), retail value approx. $1.01.  Sold at Walmart in 10 oz bags, for $6.74, available HERE.

I have to tell you, when I saw that these were blueberry flavored almonds, I was very scheptical.  I love almonds, but I really don't tend to like flavored nuts.  Just for you, reader, I sucked it up and gave these almonds a try.

Blue Diamond Blueberry Almonds
I was absolutely surprised at how GOOD these tasted!  The texture is of an almond, with a bit of a gritty coating, but the taste is absolutely amazing- blueberry and almond, at the same time!  Tiny love went nuts over these, and I had to hide the bag so I had enough for me to try and use to complete the brand challenge!  If you see these in the store, consider picking up a snack-sized bag and giving them a try.  Trust me.  You will be surprised.

Coupon for any Muller Yogurt Product (sold in grocery stores)
I have never tried Muller Yogurt products before, and am excited to use this coupon to pick one up.  Muller Yogurt is made by Quaker, and I'm looking forward to experiencing a new yogurt brand- we are BIG yogurt eaters in this house!  (I'll update this post once I have the yogurt and include a picture of what I picked out.  Promise.)

Aqua Spa Relax Lavender + Chamomile Body Crème, 9 oz/255 g, retails value $7.18; full size is 12 fl oz/355 ml retails for $9.99 and is available HERE.

I absolutely love body lotions and cremes, but as I'm allergic to many fragrances, it's difficult to find a favorite one.  I gave this a quick sniff, and the heavenly lavender scent did not trigger my allergies.  I gave this a quick try (on my feet, after using the Pedi Rock), and it did a great job of moisturizing without being greasy. It's a lovely lotion, and a perfect addition to my "spa moment".

Next Step Jaxx Shaker Cup, 20 oz., currently on sale for $5.99, regularly priced at $7.99, available HERE.

I have tried a couple of different shaker cups in the past, specifically one with a fan-shaped blade and one with a mixer marble inside.  This shaker is very different from these, as they have a jumbo six sided jack inside to break up powder clumps and help properly mix the drinks inside.  I gave this a try and found that it works really well mixing powder into the drinks, with no leaking.  I love this cup and have used it to mix shakes and lemonade, so far!

The Vitamin Shoppe Next Step fit n’ full shakes, (3 packettes: Fresh Berries (1.20 oz/34 g), Swiss Chocolate (1.34 oz/38 g), and French Vanilla (1.20 oz/34 g), retail value $4.02 (sale price) or $5.36 (regular price); sold in both 14-pack boxes and 544 g canisters; each currently on sale for $18.74; regularly priced at $24.99; available HERE, along with a coupon for $5 off a purchase at the Vitamin Shoppe.

I am always looking for new ways to aid me in my weight loss quest- I've tried meal replacement shakes before, and found them to be horrible tasting and not very filling.  The Vitamin Shoppe's Next Step fit n' full shakes seem to break this pattern.  I've tried (so far) the French Vanilla and Fresh Berries shakes, and they are actually quite tasty.  I'm not sure that the shakes kept my stomach feeling full longer, but I definitely enjoyed them :)

Full retail value of my Go VoxBox (not counting coupons): $45.81 (or if I use the sale prices, $38.87)
Influenster's Go VoxBox

Here is my Go VoxBox all together- what a box of amazing finds!

If you would like to see me unbox the Go VoxBox, feel free to watch the below video and see my initial first impressions of these awesome items :)

Influenster J'Adore Vox Box First Impressions

Hello my lovelies, I am so glad you stopped by my little corner of the internet today!  I recently receive a VoxBox from Influenster, and I can't wait to share my first impressions with you!

Ok, on to the goodies now :)

The VoxBox

I love seeing these boxes in my mailbox- mine typically arrive before the shipping email, so it's a complete surprise!

First Peek
The box I qualified is the J'Adore Vox Box- a box full of favorite brands, for my family to test and put through the ringer!  J'Adore the J'Adore VoxBox!

The Insert Card
I love this cute insert card- it's all sparkly and girly.

The Brands

On the back of the card, Influenster lists the products included in this box, and their approximate retail costs and values.

Boots Botanics The Power of Plants Ionic Clay Mask Shine Away, full size (100g/3.5 oz0, retails for $9.39,available HERE.
I seriously love face masks, and am very excited to give the Boots brand a try!  My first thought about this mask is that is is quite wet, but was happy on how it dried on my skin.  The mask washed off very easily with a wet washcloth, and left my skin feeling very clean.

Very green mask, on my face.  Aren't I beautiful?!
I have sensitive skin, and this did not cause me to experience any redness.  A little of this mask goes a long way, so I will get several uses out of this tube, making this a very nice value.  Plus who doesn't want to look like an alien/Monster High doll for a few minutes each week?
GRADE: 5/5

Hershey’s Kisses Bag (18.5 oz/524 g), retails for $5.29, available at grocery and drug everywhere.
Hershey's Kisses.  What is there to say about these classic gems that hasn't already been said?  Hershey's Kisses are an amazing treat, fun to craft with, and make pretty much everyone smile.  We've been enjoying these treats a little at a time- my favorite use is to melt one in my morning coffee.  Hey, don't knock it 'till you try it!  What an awesome treat to put in the J'Adore VoxBox- they sent a family sized bag, so we have plenty to share!  That doesn't seem to stop the kids from fighting over them, but I guess you can't blame Influenster for that. :)  I lived outside of Hershey for a while, while I was growing up, so I definitely have a soft spot for the brand, but Hershey's Kisses are an awesome treat in their own right- creamy and smooth chocolate, perfectly sized to melt in your mouth.
 GRADE: 5/5

Vaseline Men Spray Lotion, full size (6.5 oz/184 g), retails for $5.99, available HERE.

Not all recipients of the VoxBox received this product in their boxes, but both the Hubster and I are glad that we were chosen!   Vaseline Men Spray Lotion has a very masculine, musky scent, sprays on easily, and is not greasy.  My husband tried this lotion out, and was very impressed at how it brightened up his tattoos!  The scent of the lotion is a bit too masculine for me to use, so this one is all for him.  I love the way it smells, and so does the Hubster.
GRADE: 4/5

John Frieda Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray, travel size (1 fl oz/29 ml), retails for $2.99; full size is 3.5 fl oz/103 ml and retails for $9.99, available HERE.

If you have read my blog or watched our daily vlogs, you know that I have crazy, kinky, frizzy hair.  I am very excited to give this flat iron spray a try- I rarely straighten my hair because of the hassle, and perhaps this spray will change that!  I gave this a try, and my hair remained straight for 4 days, with light touch ups each morning.
"Before" picture
The most impressive thing I found with this spray is, that after washing out my straight hair, and returning to my natural curly state, my hair is silky soft and non-frizzy.  I seriously love this spray, and am SO thankful to have found this treatment!  I color my hair, and typically it is dry as straw, but not now!  I'm seriously in love!

"After" Picture.  Each day looked basically like this, and just needed a 5 minute touch up with my flat iron.

To use this product, first wash your hair, and then towel dry.  While your hair is still damp, spritz the Flat Iron Spray onto your hair, and then blow dry.  After blow drying, straighten your hair using a flat iron.  I tried this procedure and had excellent results.  I had to use a bit more spray than the packaging suggested, but my hair absolutely was straight and mostly frizz-free after use.  I received so many compliments on my hair, I'm planning to do it again very soon!
GRADE: 4/5

Kiss Looks So Natural False Lashes in Shy, retails for $3.99, available in WalMart stores, HERE
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I LOVE false lashes.  Mother Nature did not choose to bless me with the long luscious lashes of my dreams, so I need a little a lot of help.  I was very excited to try these lashes out because they look very natural and light.

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes in Shy, on my baby blues
I tried these out, and was very happy.  One thing that sets these lashes apart, is that the ends of the lashes are tapered.  This creates a more natural look.  The adhesive that came with the lashes didn't perform well for me, so I used the tube I had picked up at the Dollar Tree (which works amazing, by the way, and I'm pretty sure it's latex free).  These lashes lasted a full 14 hours on my eyes, with no lifting or discomfort.  I honestly forgot that I was wearing the lashes- that's how comfortable they are.  I've since scoped out my local Rite Aid, and they carry this specific style, and I plan on stocking up very, very soon.
GRADE: 5/5

Red Rose Simply Indulgent tea bags, sample size (4 tea bags), retail value $0.90; full size (20 bags) retails for $4.49, available in grocery stores everywhere.
I'm a tea drinker, when I want to be.  I much prefer hot coffee and cold sweet tea, but upon occasion, I find myself craving a nice hot cup of tea.  I'm excited to try Red Rose Simply Indulgent tea out- I was sent 3 Creme Caramel teabags and 1 lemon chiffon.

Tea used to be in this cup.  Really.  I promise.

My friend Jen (read her blog- it's awesome) and I tested out both flavors, and we both liked both teas.  The Lemon Chiffon flavor was decaffinated, Creme Caramel was regular; Jen preferred the Lemon Chiffon and I preferred the Creme Caramel (seriously, is anyone surprised at that?).  I think the Caramel tasted like regular tea, but drunk while wearing caramel flavored lip gloss. Overall I think the tea tastes like regular tea, but with a hint of additional flavor.  It was nice, but I'm not sure I would plan a purchase for them, without a coupon.  All of you die hard tea drinkers out there, please don't send me hate mail.
GRADE: 3/5

J'Adore VoxBox
The total retail value of my box is $28.55, and I've definitely found some new favorites.

So, tell my my friends- what product would you like to try the most?  Are any of these items that you adore?  Leave a comment, and let me know!

Until next time, my lovelies- stay Average!

Influenster Rose Vox Box- First Impressions!

Hello, my lovelies!

I received a shiny pink box from Influenster today, and I can't WAIT to tell you all about it!

Not familiar with Influenster?  It's a company that helps vendors get honest reviews for their products.  Influenster members are sent items (in VoxBoxes), based on profile and survey answers, to try out- totally for free!  Members can then review the items honestly, and the companies get awesome feedback.  Pretty much anything you can think of has been reviewed on Influenster- it's amazing!  You need an invitation from a member to join, and I am currently OUT of invitations (I'm sorry!!!)  To learn more, visit www.influenster.com.

Mailbox love!
I was super excited to see this box in my mailbox- I knew it was coming, but I hadn't received tracking yet.

First Peek

The Insert Card
Insert cards make me happy- I love seeing the cute graphics and descriptions of the boxes.

The Products
Influenster is awesome, because they put product descriptions and retail values on the back of the cards.

Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffles, 0.4 oz (12g)- 1 truffle, retail value $0.75.  Full size is 5.1 oz, 4 truffles, and retails for $3.00.  Available at Walmart (among other stores).
Oh. My. Gosh.  This is possibly the closest to heaven in a chocolate that I have EVER tasted.  The outside is creamy, smooth milk chocolate, and the inside is liquid milk chocolate perfection!  I had to fight my kids to get to eat this, and I'm really sorry there was only ONE in the bag.

One lonely truffle.  Can't have that, can we??!!
I must repurchase this, STAT.  You probably should get these, too, the next time you need a guilty pleasure.
GRADE: 5/5 (can I give this a higher score?  I NEED THESE IN MY LIFE.  Just calorie free, please...what? A girl can dream!)

Kiss Gradation Polishes in Film Noir, 3 6.0ml (0.20 fl oz) bottles- full size, retail value $6.97.  Available at Walmart (among other stores, insert card said Walgreens, but I couldn't find it on their website).
I love me ombre nails.  Just last week, mine were pink to purple ombre, and I was really excited when I saw this kit!  This polish kit comes with three polishes: a base (of which you apply two coats and let them dry), a darker shade (that you apply to 2/3 of your nail, one hand at a time), and a glitter polish (that you layer over the second shade, while still wet, on the top 1/3 of your nail.  That's why the second shade is applied to one hand at a time).

Swatch of Kiss Gradation Polishes in Film Noir
This took me two times to get the hang of doing, mostly because the step 3 (glitter) polish is really thick and gloopy.  My nails looked perfect the first time around, for about five minutes, and then I gummed them all up at the tips while taking pizza out of the oven.  I removed everything and started again, and went a bit thinner with my second and third shade- and they turned out perfect.  I will probably look for the blue kit in this series- this is definitely worth picking up!
GRADE: 4/5 (gloopy glitter isn't fun, but it was definitely workable once I got the hang of it.)

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara in Black (01), 0.41 fl oz (12mL)- full size, retail value $6.99.  Available at CVS (among other stores).

In all honesty, I haven't tried this, yet.  I plan to very soon, but it's hard because I have two awesome mascaras open right now, already.  I did crack open the packaging and check it out.  I've never tried anything by Rimmel London before, and I am super excited to give this a try!

Out of the package
The wand is rather large, and has an hour glass shape that I've found I prefer.  The tube is a good size and clicks shut to keep air (and nasties) out.  I have a feeling that I am going to love this, but for my first impressions, I'm going to give this a neutral grade.
GRADE: 3/5 (for now- I'll update asap!)

Vitabath Cupcake Couture Hydrating Lotion in Luscious Lemon Crème, 12 fl oz (360 mL)- full size, retail value $7.95.  Available at VitaBath (among other stores).
If you are looking for a lotion that smells like lemons, keep on looking.  If you are looking, however for a thick, moisturizing lotion that smells like baked goods with a hint of lemon, stop everything right now and pick this up!  After the lotion I received from Ipsy last month (that smells like pepper.  Seriously.), I am THRILLED to get this in my box- this lotion feels and smells heavenly.  I'm not sure if I will be able to share this- I want it all to myself!
GRADE: 5/5

BelVita Breakfast Biscuits in blueberry, 1.76 oz (50g)- 1 pack, retail value $0.60.  Full size is 5 packs (8.8 oz), retails for $2.98.  Available at Walmart (among other stores).

I love BelVita Breakfast Biscuts, and so does Tiny Love.  We will be fighting over this packet, I can see it now!  These crispy biscuits are great in the morning, and have just the right amount of blueberry flavor in them.

Yummy breakfast!
These smell delightful, and are perfect with morning coffee or tea.  Perfect for anytime, really, if you ask me.
GRADE: 5/5 (awesome in a packet)

Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions insoles, size 6-10- full size, retail value $9.00.  Available at Target (among other stores)
I've been enjoying my Dr. Scholl's Active Series inserts for a bit now, and I'm excited to receive these fuzzy wonders to put in my boots!  As a Cooke Booth Champ, I want/need comfort and warmth and I'll take it anyway I can get it, when it's cookie season.  I haven't broken my boots out just yet, but I will soo, and I'll let you know how these do!
GRADE: 3/5 (neutral, for now!)

The Rose VoxBox from Influenster
Total retail value of my Rose VoxBox: $32.26 (value on the card is different, but I searched out every single item and this is the retail prices I found as of today.  The retail value listed on the insert card is $35.20.)

If you would like to watch my video unboxing (or any of my daily vlogs- they're there too), here you go:
