Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month December 2013

First and foremost, my friends- Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe and happy 2013, and I wish you all the best in 2014!

I know I'm late on this review, but honestly, this holiday season was a flurry of busy-ness for my family and me.  I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I promise to make an effort to write more in 2014.

Glamour Doll Eyes is a lovely Indie company, that specializes in loose pigments.  I first heard of GDE in June or July, and have since tried them out a few times.  I am so happy with the quality of the products, and with the prices, that I will definitely be checking them out more and more in this new year.

In addition to providing awesome loose shadows, Glamour Doll Eyes offers a monthly subscription, that you can purchase on a monthly, 3 month, 6 month, or yearly basis, depending on the number of subscriptions currently available, as they only make a specific amount of each month's shadows.  Subscriptions are typically $8 a month, including shipping, but December's was a bit more ($10 with shipping), because of all of the awesomeness that GDE wanted to include.  Subscriptions are available on the 8th of each month, so if you are interested in trying GDE OTM out, mark your calendar (or join her mailing list), and be sure to be fast!

I was so excited to be able to get December's bag, and when it arrived I simply squealed with delight!

December 2013's OTM by Glamour Doll Eyes

I love the cute little bag that this month arrived in- the penguin is super cute!  There were a TON of extras in this month's bag, it was like an early Christmas present!

Candy? For ME?!  Candycandycandycandy...
The first thing I pulled out of the bag was Charm's Blow Pop Minis.  The kids killed these in less time than it takes you to say, "hey, kids, candy!"- but these are a super cute idea!

Insert Cards
There were lots of insert cards this month- two to describe all the goodness in the bag, along with business cards for GDE and this month's partners.  Love it!

Suds N Sass Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Soap sample

Oh. My. Gosh.  When I opened up the little bag, I was hit with the awesome scent of pumpkin pie, and once I saw this, I knew instantly where the heavenly smell was coming from- this amazing soap!  This soap smells SO good, is handmade, and contains all natural ingredients.  I can't wait for this scent to come back into stock, because I want to smell like this all autumn long.  If you want to try Suds N Sass out for yourself, you can find them HERE

Sedona Lace blending brush, number EB 13

A new blender brush?!  Yes please!  If you've read my blog for any length of time, you probably know that I have a small obsession with brushes.  Ok, A HUGE obsession with brushes!  I had never tried Sedona Lace's brushes before, and was super excited to give this one a try.  The EB13 blender has synthetic bristles, and retails for $8.95.  The brush is of excellent quality, and does a lovely job of blending these pigments out.  The bristles are soft to the touch, yet stiff enough to blend, and it washed up very well and easy with no fallout.  All in all, this is AMAZING and my favorite thing in this month's bag!  If you want to give this brush from Sedona Lace a try, you can find it HERE.  Promo code glamourdoll will get you $4 off your order.

Black Luna handmade nail lacquer in Christmas Morning
The back of the polish bottle (so you can actually see the color!)
I was so excited to see nail polish in my bag, I can't even tell you.  I'm always on the lookout for the perfect shade, and love trying new brands- especially Indie ones.  Plus, who doesn't love mini polish?!
Swatch of Christmas Morning
This lovely polish is a dark cherry shade with a hint of holo sparkle.  I paired it with a glitter topcoat to make my nails SHINE.  This polish is TWO-free (while it is toulene and formadelhyde free, it does have DBP).  I rocked this color during the Christmas season, and absolutely loved it!  My nails are very prone to chipping and peeling (even with a good base coat), so I'm not the best one to talk about it's staying power, but I felt it lasted an acceptable amount of time, at least for me.  If you would like to give this polish a try, head on over HERE.

Glamour Doll Eyes Blush in Trouble Maker

GDE will be releasing new blush shades on January 20th, and those of us lucky enough to get the December OTM was able to preview one of the new shades for FREE!  GDE included a full size blush in each bag, in either Trouble Maker, Girl Next Door, or My First Time.  I received Trouble Maker, a matte dark pink (almost red).  I apply this with a VERY light hand, and it is absolutely beautiful!  I naturally blush a dark pink, and this blush does an amazing job of giving me that natural flush that I've been looking for.  When this gorgeous shade is available, I believe it will be $9 (like her other blushes), and available HERE

This bag looks amazing already, right?  And I haven't even gotten to the eye shadows yet!

Glamour Doll Eyes Christmas Calories Don't Count

Aside from being the best name for eyeshadow ever, this pretty purple pigment is positively perfect (how's that for alliteration?!)!  Christmas Calories Don't Count has a burgundy base with purple sheen and a slight turquoise sparkle.  I seriously love this gorgeous shade!

Glamour Doll Eyes Mistletoe Make Out
Staying with the holiday theme, Mistletoe Make Out is a forest green with gold sparkles and a coppery sheen.  This is such a perfect Christmas green, I absolutely love it!

Swatches of Trouble Maker,  Mistletoe Make Out and Christmas Calories Don't Count

Glamour Doll Eyes Samples of Fire Breather and Frat Boy

GDE also included sample baggies of 2 new shades out of the 8 that they are releasing.  I received Fire Breather and Frat Boy.  With everything else in the bag, I was amazed to see samples in here, too!  Fire Breather is a gorgeous coppery shade, and Frat Boy is a beautiful dark brown with golden sparkle.  Love these!

Swatches of Fire Breather and Frat Boy
These little baggies hold enough for several applications, so I'm excited to be able to give these a good try!

Finally, here is the look I created using the shadows and blush in my December bag.  Enjoy!

    1. I used to LOVE the blue Blow Pops when I was in high school- so much so that when my parents ventured out to BJ's Wholesalers (we only went like twice a year because it was 1 1/2 hours away), I begged them to buy me a whole box of them. I horded those blue babies with the fierceness of Smaug with his gold, until they were ALL gone :) Ah, the memories...
Happy new year to you also! Here's to a fabulous new year, full of beauty, life and light!

    1. If it makes you feel ANY better, I missed it this month too. Financially, January is a difficult month for our family- my husband does collision repair and our weather hasn't been bad enough for him to be busy!
Definitely check them out, I've been very happy with what I have...plus since you have a blog, they have special pricing :)
